32nd Merimbula Jazz Festival

Merimbula will be celebrating its 100 year anniversary in 2012 and there's no better time to join in the festivities than during the June long weekend. Already there has been an unprecendented amount of early interest in next year's Festival with accommodation bookings at all time high, so get yourself organised and be part of it.

The Street Parade, so successful in 2011, will be bigger and better next year with the advent of Pipe Bands and greater involvement of school big bands and local interest groups.

The Jazz Quest Competition which was begun last year will continue. This quest seeks to identify outstanding young jazz musicians with last year's winner, Nick Marshall (pic on right), getting the opportunity to spend time in a recording studio and having a session with a professional photographer. He is using it to record a CD With sponsor interest at an all time high it will take on a higher profile with prizes extended to a greater number of age groups.

Early-bird registration don't miss out either with the sponsor interest at an all time high, Festival rewards will also be extended. So keep an eye out for the registration forms and get yours in early.
